(with accentuated letters). In France, the names are not submitted at strong rules for spelling, and also, from the ages, they got changes by mistakes of transcribing. So, in France, "delean" is wrote "déléan" or "deléan".

In the east of the France, in Savoy, there are many "déléan" as I.
In the ages, the houses ant cottages formed a group in villages to have a better defense against beasts and ruffians.
Out of the fences of the village, there was a zone which was named "léans" .
Here leaved particular persons ( ill and contagious one, mad, expelled or bannished....).
There were the people from "léans", in french:"des léans", phonetically "déléan".

People came from Spain to invade England by the sea. It was the "invincible armada". This fleet was destroyed in the Channel between France and England.
Some survivors, coming from land of LEON (in french Léon), ended on the coast of Britain, near Brest and founded the town of "St Paul de Léon", in memory of their origin country.
They was called 'son of Leon' , in French "fils de léon" then, few of them appropriate this name "de léon", then after some changes "deléan" (with one accent).
